This research study analysed the impact of the pilot REDD payment project that would be helpful in deciding whether the REDD program can be scaled up at the national level while ensuring that it is carbon effective, cost efficient, equitable and capable of producing co-benefits to the local community. The overall goal was to examine the implications of carbon payments for local communities in three watersheds in Nepal.
