The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the national goal of poverty reduction through up-scaling the production and industrial consumption of bio-energy, thereby increasing employment and reducing carbon emissions.
More specific objective(s) are to:
- Create more green jobs through up-scaling Small Sized Bio-Char Enterprises
- Reduce carbon emission through diversifying the production and use of bio-energy as an alternative to imported fossil fuel (LPG, kerosene and coal)
- Sustain the production and supply chain of bio-energy through strengthening the capacity of actors of bio-char sub-sector
