This multi-country project, being implemented in Nepal, India, and Bangladesh, aims to strengthen local food systems that uphold people’s right to safe and healthy food, promote community food sovereignty, and enhance resilience to climate change. The project’s approach focuses on developing agroecological, climate-resilient models and generating local-level evidence. This evidence is then used to train extension services through government and academic institutions, while also informing policy and institutional frameworks. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to advance global adoption of agroecological principles and drive food system transformation.
In Nepal, the project is being implemented in the Surkhet, Dailekh, and Jumla districts of Karnali Province, with ANSAB serving as the knowledge partner.
