This project intends to prepare evaluation designs for two REDD+ projects in India and Nepal with different guiding research questions. The objective of the study for Indian project is to understand how participants have been selected, community institutions have been created and what impacts these have on the equity and other outcomes of the REDD+ projects. Nepal project is one of the few REDD+ projects across the globe, where carbon payments have been made. Hence, the objective of the evaluation design is to understand the impact of the project on the rights and livelihoods of the participants.
