World Environment Day 2023
June 05, 2023 – ANSAB celebrates World Environment Day 2023 by organizing a series of impactful activities to raise awareness on environmental conservation and combating plastic pollution.
In Hupsekot Rural Municipality-3, ANSAB collaborated with Shree Saraswati Sanskrit and General Higher Secondary School to organize various eco-friendly activities for the students such as street rally, cleanliness program to clean the local area, face painting, slogan writing, tree planting, and tree tagging. Additionally, an orientation session was held for students, focusing on environmental protection.
There were total of 54 participants, including teachers, students, members of the Nepal Police, elected ward and municipal representatives. The ward chairperson, alongside the Nepal Police and the school principal, inaugurated the event by planting an Ashoka tree.
Simultaneously, ANSAB also collaborated with Chilaha Ratawal Community Homestay and Nawalpur Tourism Committee to clean the Wadh River located in Kawasoti-13. This event brought together 59 participants from various groups, including the local youth club, Community-based Anti-Poaching Unit Lamachaur (CBAPU Lamachaur), the Nepal Army, Chitwan National Park, and local residents. Their collective efforts aimed to restore the natural beauty of the river, highlighting the importance of maintaining clean and plastic-free water bodies.
