Himalayan Bio Trade Limited (HBTL) has received the FairWild certification for Jatamansi and Kutki from Jumla district of Nepal. The collection and processing of these high value non-timber forest products have complied with the performance indicators defined in the FairWild Standards. HBTL is the first company in Nepal to receive FairWild Certification. ANSAB as part of the “Succeeding with CITES: Sustainable and Equitable Jatamansi Trade from Nepal” project, facilitated pre-audit and audit process along with capacitating HBTL to meet the standards for the certification.
