Event: Community Forestry Enterprises for Livelihoods – The Way Forward
ANSAB, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and International Network for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR) are organizing an event: Community forestry Enterprises for Livelihoods: The Way Forward at the Asia Pacific Forestry Week in Beijing, China. The event will take place on Monday, November 7, 13:30 – 18:00 at China Convention Center, Room 307B, and it includes an informative and participatory workshop introducing most recent initiatives and successful cases of community sustainable forestry management and enterprise developments in China, India, Nepal, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and other Asia Pacific Countries. Experts from ANSAB, FAO and INBAR will brief on key issues such as community enterprise establishment, climate change initiatives, private sector prospects, market and governance, etc., and how REDD+, PES and CDM could help communities to better manage their natural resources.
