ANSAB organises bio-briquette producers’ meeting in Nepal
ANSAB in association with Himalayan Naturals P. Ltd., a bio-briquette producing and marketing company organized a meeting of the bio-briquette producers of Nepal on August 20, 2011 at ANSAB Headquarters, Kathmandu. The meeting discussed on the issues, challenges and opportunities of the bio-briquette sector in Nepal, and on the constitution of the proposed bio-briquette producers’ association. The meeting finalized the name of the proposed association as the Bio-briquette Producers’ Association of Nepal and formed a seven member ad-hoc executive committee with Mr. Sushil Gyawali as chairperson, Ms. Dhana Maya Magar as vice-chairperson, Mr. Dev Bahadur Shrestha as Secretary, Mr. Sita Ram Tamang as Treasurer. The three executive members of the committee are Mr. Mitra Jirel, Mr. Krishna Prasad Pandey and Mr. Devi Bahadur Nepal. The meeting decided to register the association within one month and finalized a one-year work plan for the promotion of the bio-briquette sector in Nepal.
