ANSAB’s Research, Planning and Communication Manager – Sudarshan Khanal presented a business case on bio-briquette value chain in Nepal that was initiated and developed by the organization in a “Writeshop of business models for successful, locally controlled, forest and farm enterprises”, held in Bangkok, Thailand on September 4 and 5, 2014. The writeshop was organized by RECOFTC in order to capture the gained insights and experiences of successful community forest enterprises in Asian countries. ANSAB’s presentation was appreciated by the participating countries – Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Indonesia and the Philippines as ANSAB’s initiative covered the entire value chain of the briquette in order to make competing enterprise activities in the sector.
